Karamay---The World Oil City
At the invitation of the people’s government of Karamay and Petrochina Xinjiang Oilfield Company, CIPPE
Xinjiang will move to “The World Oil City” in 2012 to promote the construction of oil city and the cooperation of Central Asia area with the government and oil companies.
Karamay lies at the northwest edge of Dzungarian Basin, which is rich in oil and gas at central Asia. It is the important petroleum and petrochemical base, and the area where CNPC implements the strategy of implementing the development of western area. It is also the place where petroleum and petrochemical technology and equipment are greatly demanded, offering it a great advantage and room. Chinese energy source market will depend on Xinjiang; Xinjiang energy source market will depend on Karamay. There are five bases in construction in Karamay—oil gas production base, oil gas technology service base, oil refining chemical base, national oil strategic storage base and technical worker training base. After the finishing of these five bases, Karamay will be one of the important petroleum and petrochemical base in our country, even around the world.

○China International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (cippe), which is held in Beijing every spring, is the largest exhibition around the world, has been held for 11 sessions successfully.
○cippe is the 22nd member of UFI in China.
○China Xinjiang (Karamay) International Petroleum & Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Exhibition (cippe Xinjiang), which is a regular gathering of petroleum and petrochemical industry, has been held for 10 sessions successfully. As the sister exhibition of cippe Beijing, cippe Xinjiang has become the top petroleum show in Central Asia.
○cippe Xinjiang attracts 329 exhibitors from 13 contries such as: USA, Germany, Sweden, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Turkey and so on. The well-known international companies including GE, OLYMPUS, TIMKEN,KSB, LEISTRITZ, GENOYER, BORNEMANN, DANFOSS etc. The famous local enterprises brought their latestechnology and equipment to cippe, including China Petroleum and Chemical Group, Petrochina Xinjiang Oilfield Company, Xibu Drilling Engineering Company Limited, CNPC Well Logging, Sinopec Shanghai Gaoqiao Petrochemical Corporation.Jerrywon, Hamilton, Jiangsu Yulong, Yanchang Petroleum, Lanzhou Haimo etc.
○The exhibiting area of cippe Xinjiang attained 15,000sqm for close to 329 enterprises in 2011.
○It is expected that the exhibit space will attain 20,000 square meters for more than 500 enterprises in 2012.
○cippe Xinjiang and CIPPE in Beijing and Shanghai will share 100,000 domestic and international audience resources. The quality of the exhibition will be ensuring effectively.
